The Judo Go-Shin-Jutsu Kata course successfully
ran on Sunday 16th October, 2005. It was well attended by
martial artists from various disciplines. The
Go-Shin-Jutsu has been described as a self-defence kata which
among other applications, was also used to train Tokyo police.
The Kata was developed by Professor Tomiki and is the Judo
equivalent of Aikido's Go-Shin-no-Kata (Dai San). The course
instructor John Cornish, was a Judo Kodokan Kenshusei he also
trained in Aikido under Ueshiba and studied the Go-Shin-Jutsu
directly under Tomiki himself.
